Brevard Plein Air Festival

The 2026 Brevard Plein Air Festival brings painters from across the region to Transylvania County for a week of live outdoor painting, community, and creativity. From September 14–19, artists will set up their easels throughout downtown Brevard and the surrounding mountains, waterfalls, and scenic backroads, creating original works inspired directly by the places locals and visitors love. Guests are invited to stroll through town, watch artists at work in real time, and experience how familiar views are transformed on canvas over the course of the week. Hosted by Heart of Brevard, the festival highlights the charm of Brevard’s historic downtown and its vibrant arts scene while offering a unique way to explore the natural beauty of Transylvania County.
